In summer 2012, the world will focus on Wimbledon twice: the 126th Lawn Tennis Championships starting on June 25, and the London 2012 Olympic tennis competition starting on July 28. Here is a novel set at Wimbledon 50 years ago that will capture the hearts of everyone in London this summer: The Tennis Player from Bermuda. In 1962, the tennis players at Wimbledon were all amateurs there were no entourages for players, no lucrative product endorsements, and little money. Tennis fashion design was the domain of the extraordinary Teddy Tinling.
